Public Policy on Abortion: Upholding Life, Freedom of Choice, and Traditional Values
As a traditional Catholic and a pro-life candidate, I firmly believe in the sanctity of life and the importance of upholding traditional values. I advocate for a public policy that respects both the sanctity of life from conception to natural death and the freedom of choice, while also promoting traditional values such as abstinence until marriage.
One of the fundamental tenets of my beliefs is that every human life is sacred and deserving of protection. As a traditional Catholic, I hold that life begins at conception and that it is our moral duty to protect the unborn. However, I also understand the importance of respecting individual freedom and choice. I will safeguard your choice.
I don’t believe in contraception, and I firmly stand by the principle that we should raise kids to wait until marriage and abstain from sex as the best alternative to preventing pregnancy and communicable diseases. As a pro-life candidate, I believe that individuals should have the freedom to make their own choices without government interference.
This principle of freedom of choice is enshrined in our Constitution’s establishment clause and the Declaration of Independence. God has granted us free will, and with it, the ability to make choices, including whether or not to follow His will. Government should not dictate personal moral decisions.
Instead, it should create an environment that supports life and empowers individuals to make choices aligned with their beliefs and values. This means providing resources and support to pregnant women, promoting adoption as a positive alternative to abortion, and offering comprehensive sex education that emphasizes abstinence until marriage.
Furthermore, I believe in allowing the Church to provide support for families and communities to promote a culture that values life and supports those facing unplanned pregnancies. This includes financial assistance, help with healthcare, and programs that promote healthy relationships and responsible decision-making.
In summary, my public policy on abortion focuses on upholding life, respecting freedom of choice, and promoting traditional values. By embracing these principles, we can create a society where every life is valued, and individuals are empowered to make choices that align with their beliefs and values.
