Giving Tuesday
If we walk far enough, Dorothy said, we shall sometime come to some place, I am sure.
We have surly lost our way, the scarecrow said, and unless we find it again in time to reach the Emerald City I shall never get my brains.
Nor I my heart, declared the tinman. It seems to me I can scarcely wait till I get to Oz, and you must admit this is a very long journey.
You, see said the Cowardly Lion, with a wimper, I havent’ the courage to keep tramping forever without getting anywhere at all.
The First Thanksgiving
Why do we celebrate this day?
The Pilgrims’ first thanksgiving lasted three whole days. It’s a time in history we celebrate the struggles of the Pilgrims during their first year at Plymouth Colony and the events leading up to the historic occasions.
Some may want to rewrite history. But let us never forget, why people came to this country. The first English settlers left their old country because they couldn’t pray. (People came to America for religious freedom.) Initially, the native american Indian’s and the Pilgrim’s got along.
Usborne Books & More can help ya with that. Seriously. They can.
