Awakening Excellence: Crafting Competent Leadership
Here’s a thought that ignites passions and sparks debates: Why are we witnessing an influx of incompetent women assuming leadership roles in politics? It’s a question that might have earned me labels like ‘sexist,’ but truth often strikes a nerve.
In leadership, our singular goal should be to elevate the best candidate for the job. The ideal leader possesses qualities such as humility, integrity, inclusiveness, open-mindedness, and positivity. True leaders exude empathy, a trait that fosters connection and progress.
Let’s face facts: Women tend to bring a more empathetic approach to leadership, inadvertently stirring emotional conflicts and striving for neutrality. On the other hand, men often spark discussions and prioritize problem-solving. But, how can we select the best candidate for a leadership role when so many people misunderstand what it truly means to lead?
In the past, leaders reached the pinnacle through humility, competence, and integrity. Today, we find a shift, with many climbing the ladder due to persistence and determination. Exceptional individuals rise by taking risks and starting businesses, handling every aspect with competence. But, regrettably, we now see an overrepresentation of women in top positions, not all possessing exceptional leadership skills. This shift, driven partly by feminism, places unqualified individuals, both men and women, in leadership roles.
It’s time to scale back and refocus on meritocracy. Men and women bring unique strengths to the table, and it’s our responsibility to nurture these gifts. Perhaps a renewed emphasis on teaching kids essential virtues and fostering proficient reading skills can pave the way for more competent leaders.
In a world where leadership is now predominantly female, promoting meritocracy is our moral duty. Encouraging children to rise based on their capabilities ensures that the best candidates, regardless of gender, ascend to the top.
We need leaders who uphold the law, driven by an extraordinary level of drive, resilience, and intelligence. As for me, I shy away from leadership roles; managing people and selecting the right individuals to do so is arduous work. My focus lies on ideas, not personalities.
Humans are indeed created equal in God’s image, but talent is where we differ. An egalitarian society remains a distant dream.
Being bold isn’t synonymous with narcissism. Boldness and courage are virtues, not everyone possesses the talent to confront danger head-on. Unlike narcissists, true leaders learn from their mistakes, constantly seek innovation, and have a keen ear for listening.
In summary, we must instill virtues in people to nurture competent leaders. It’s time for society to rise above the mediocrity, foster true leadership, and unlock our fullest potential.
